Fathers Day Special

Again! Another week of brilliant diving conditions! I know we are starting to sound like a broken record with this but it is worth getting excited over!

The dives at Swansea last Saturday were awesome! The boat dives that we did on the ‘Club Boat dive day’ were probably the best dives that I have done on the Central coast…and that is really saying something! To have continuous great conditions week after week is just brilliant!

We had a big laugh at David Browns expense...He is now fondly known as 'Storm Boy' as he managed to sport a very large Pelican Poo down his back!!! (You know it is extremely lucky to get pooped on by a bird,,,,,,,your good luck will be unbounding Dave ...hahahah!). ..Word of advise..look up before standing under the telegraph poles at the Haven!!

This weekend Allen will be heading off to 'Swansea Heads' on Saturday so meet at the shop at 9.00am if you are keen to come along! The dive shop will NOT be opening on Sunday at all so we will not be running a Club shore dive! If you want to grab a buddy and take yourself off for a dive don’t forget to get your tanks, gear or air fills on Saturday! All is not lost though…Captain Jim is taking the boat out for a double dive on Sunday and he will be heading out to dive ‘The Apartments’ and ‘The Wall’ at long reef! Having spent many years diving out of Sydney, take my word…’The Apartments’ is a 5 star dive, not to be missed and is classed as one of the absolute BEST dive sites around! It is suitable for all levels of divers and is a chronically pretty dive! I will give a bit of a site blurb on this dive later in the Ezine!

Thanks to all those who came along to our Trivia night at the Beachcomber! What a great night with plenty of friendly banter… lots of head scratching…and of course a small amount of obligatory CHEATING!! Congrats to the winning team John H and Belinda…supported by my year old daughter, Lily ,who holds herself personally responsible for their win!! (don’t know where she gets that ego from!?:-) ). As we had prizes left over we held a tie breaker, involving answering the question correctly and then a race to grab / snatch the prize from the adjudicator, Allen ( Who braved serious injury or death with this challenge!). Congats to Steve, Gina & Darren on their wins, (Allen is still trying to get the shoe prints off his body!! Hehe )!
